Multiple bottle sizes and naturally shaped nipples in this set encourage latch-on from day one and beyond.
The Natural bottles in this set have nipples with a broad, but soft and flexible base to make the transition between breast and bottle fuss-free. Little hands will have no problem gripping the hourglass-shaped base when the time comes. Extras like a pacifier and a formula dispensing cup – that can later be used for snacks – are nice too.
When it comes to getting an eating rhythm down, it’s really all about the nipple flow. Pediatricians recommend using a “slow flow” nipple (also called Level 1), so that the baby doesn’t get too much milk at once. Around three months old, your baby will probably be ready to graduate to Level 2. This starter kit includes 5 Level 1 nipples and 2 Level 2 nipples, so you will be all set for six months.
This pack includes two different flows – the newborn one lets out the smallest amount of liquid while the slow flow one picks up the pace up a bit. But some parents report that even with the newborn flow nipple, the liquid still comes out too fast for their infants, and they don’t have this problem with other brands’ slow flow nipples.
